I finally got to answer a note that wasn't even mine

There was a note stuck to my company for about a year saying I no-showed a pickup and ghosted a broker. Never happened. Wrong MC, somebody mixed me up with an outfit that has a similar name. Try explaining that to a broker who already saw it though. A few of them just quit answering me. What mattered here wasn't that the note disappeared, because it didn't. It's that I got to put my answer right underneath it. The dates, my real MC, this was not my load. Couple months later a broker told me he read both and figured out it was a mix-up, and booked me anyway. That's the whole thing I'd been after. Somewhere to say my side.
